Charlie is a Melbourne based photographer that has been 'painting with light' over the last eight years. Her eyes are drawn to capturing humans in their natural environments. Her love for producing emotive portraiture is carried through from her personal work to her commercial work, incorporating a similar authentic aesthetic, with a playful and natural essence.
The distinctive style that echoes through Charlie's images is predominatly produced through the method of analogue film photography. Her body of work showcases a passion for creating raw and romanticized imagery of substance and depth. She fell in love with capturing images through utilising classic film techniques that allowed her to be more mindful and deliberate in the capture process.
Whilst Charlie completed her BA Photography at RMIT in 2012, the program was digitally emphasized, creating a platform to enhance skills of a technical variety. This has paved a path for Charlie to offer versatile skills within the commercial industry, also offering a completely digital approach to her work flow for commercial campaigns and event photography.
Charlie takes great pleasure in translating clients products in to eye-capturing visuals for small and large businesses, musicians and other creative visionaries.
